About Miss'd America...
Contestants competing for the Miss’d America title will be judged in the categories of swimsuit, talent, evening gown, and complete a Judges’ Interview. Along with the crown, the 2012 Miss’d America winner will receive a three day/four night getaway, and be available for multiple appearances throughout her reigning year. Miss’d America 2010 Miss Michelle Dupree will crown the winner and perform a farewell performance.
The Miss’d America Pageant was absent from Atlantic City for nearly five years before making its triumphant return on January 31, 2010. The event was created as a spoof of the world-famous Miss America Pageant 14 years ago to raise funds for a local charity. It took place annually on the night after the famous beauty pageant when held in Atlantic City.
Proceeds from the 2011 Miss’d America Pageant will be equally divided between the Greater Atlantic City GLBT Alliance and the Schultz-Hill Scholarship Foundation, and then split among various charities. For more information on either organization, visit www.acglbt.org or www.schultz-hill.org. Tickets will be on sale at the Boardwalk Hall Box Office and Ticketmaster locations by mid-October 2010.
