The Russians are here (and a lot of other people too)

I always know summer has started when my foreign interns show up. This year I have 2 students from Russia who will be helping out all summer. The Carisbrooke Inn is becoming quite an international spot these days. Besides my Russian Students, I still have help from Poland and in the past month have had guests from Italy, England, Canada, France, Russia, Poland, and Tanzania. I might just have to start hanging flags out like the United Nations.

The two students from Russia seem like very nice kids. Their names are Alek and Kate. They are two friends who wanted to work together which worked out well for me. They have been here for a week and are working out pretty well, although we need to work on Aleks English a bit. Both seem like hard workers and willing to learn. I enjoy having the foreign students here each year. They add a new dimension to the inn and give me an opportunity to learn a little bit about another culture. They definitely add to the positive experience our guests have here at The Carisbrooke Inn.
As for all the foreign travelers, I can't explain the increase. I expect maybe because the dollar is in their favor right now and is making travel to the US more affordable. I'm glad they are coming and also enjoy meeting people from around the world. They have all been wonderful guests and extremely nice and enjoyable people. It's amazing how small the world really is.
