New Dinner Cruise Boat in Atlantic City

Atlantic City Black Whale Cruises with its double decker paddlewheel cruise boat, the Crystal Queen, has begun operations in Atlantic City with trips departing from Farley State Marina located at Trump Marina Casino.  
 
It is the first vessel of its kind in Atlantic City and all of Southern New Jersey to offer onboard dining and cruising in an atmosphere evoking the feeling of an 1850’s riverboat.  Starting with a July 4th Fireworks Cruise, Black Whale Cruises and the Crystal Queen will be offering weekly lunch and dinner cruises and is also available for private parties such as weddings and corporate events.  
All cruises will have live entertainment.  Special”guest stars” will be featured on specialty cruises such as a jazz night with a local musical legend.   Other popular local musicians will also be scheduled to accommodate all types of musical tastes.  Murder mystery cruises are also planned along with other “themed” cruises.  One of the areas’ top notch caterers will be providing the food service for the onboard lunch and dinner buffets as well as private functions.
The Black Whale name has been associated with boating for over 60 years.  Black Whale Cruises’ double decker paddlewheel cruise boat, the Crystal Queen will be sailing in Atlantic City for the first time as a permanent addition to Atlantic City’s seashore attractions.

TEPLITZKY’S AT THE CHELSEA HOTEL IN ATLANTIC CITY HOSTS A GREATER ATLANTIC CITY GLBT MIXER AND KARAOKE NIGHT
The Back Room at Teplitzky’s at The Chelsea Hotel in Atlantic City will host a networking mixer and Karaoke Night Out on Thursday, July 15^th from 5:30pm to closing to welcome the Greater Atlantic City Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, & Transgender community and GLBT Alliance members and member organizations.  Enjoy complimentary hors’ oeuvres and cash bar during this fun-filled event.  Teplitzky’s opens up to a heated salt-water pool, so get ready to Rock ‘N Roll into the hottest new party place while enjoying the company of friends.  Networking starts at 5:30pm and Karaoke starts at 7:30pm.  Members are free at the door with membership card.  Not a current member?  No problem- new members may enroll at the door for $25 per person.  Parking is free for all GLBT members and anyone who dines at Teplitzky's or Chelsea Prime.  Membership is good for one year and benefits include sponsored events by area restaurants and hospitality venues. Atlantic City, NJ – June 17, 2010; Stevie Nicks will be performing in the Mark G. Etess Arena at Trump Taj Mahal on Friday, August 27, 2010.  Show time is 8:00 pm, doors open one hour prior.  

Famed for her mystical chanteuse image, singer/songwriter Stevie Nicks enjoyed phenomenal success not only as a solo artist but also as a key member of Fleetwood Mac. Stephanie began performing at the age of four, and occasionally sang at the tavern owned by her parents. Nicks started writing songs in her mid-teens, and joined her first group, the Changing Times, while attending high school in California.  She is best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and an extensive solo career, which collectively have produced over forty Top 50 hits and has sold nearly 120 million albums.

Atlantic City, N.J.) – Historic Gardner’s Basin heats up this summer with daily programming at the Atlantic City Aquarium, and activities from boating and parasailing to dining and shopping at charming crafter cottages.

Starting Thursday, July 1st, through Labor Day, the Atlantic City Aquarium will offer daily program that includes a Live Diver Feeding Show at 11 a.m., feedings for baby stingrays and bamboo sharks at 12 noon and 3 p.m. and  the Exotic Animal Show at 2 p.m.
During the Live Diver Feeding Show, visitors can watch, and interact with, a diver in scuba gear as he or she hand feeds the stingrays and sharks inside the 25,000 gallon tank. Visitors can then hand feed baby stingrays and bamboo sharks by purchasing bags of food for $2 (or $1 for members). The Exotic Animal Show features the Aquarium’s more unusual inhabitants. See the largest species of scorpion in the world. Touch the softest furred mammal in the world.  Learn about these animals’ their native habitats, their suitability as pets, natural defenses and predatory instincts other interesting facts. The Atlantic City Aquarium is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 for children ages 4-12. Children under three are free. Located in Atlantic City's Historic Gardner's Basin, the Atlantic City Aquarium offers a fun and educational look into more than 100 varieties of fish and marine animals.

Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling is a comedian, comedy writer, musician, composer and actor. Jackie is a former cast member and later head writer for the The Howard Stern Show, a syndicated morning radio show that has now moved from terrestrial radio to Sirius satellite radio.

The 2010 Atlantic City Airshow "Thunder Over the Boardwalk" is scheduled
for Wednesday, Aug. 25 - and it comes 100 years after Atlantic City and
Asbury Park hosted New Jersey's very first airshows.
To pay tribute to those airshows past and present, the Atlantic City
Free Public Library and Asbury Park Public Library will offer a new
exhibit - Flying Fearless: Celebrating the Centennial Anniversary of
Airshows in New Jersey - at the Atlantic City International Airport from
June 22 to Sept. 7.

This past week, I was surprised to find out we had a celebrity staying with us.  How many of you have been to Times Square?  Have you seen the naked singing cowboy?  He's there a lot getting his picture taken with all sorts of people.
Last week he was here.   After he had breakfast he got undressed into his costume, took a few pictures with us and then headed to Atlantic City to stroll the world famous boardwalk.

 (June 3, 2010 - New York, NY)  Bieber Fever rules: millions of fans took minutes to snatch up tickets to see Justin Bieber in concert, creating a sold-out summer tour sensation. Today the platinum- selling pop singing sensation Justin Bieber announced the second leg of dates on his headlining tour of North America. Already hitting 40+ cities in its first leg of dates, the second phase of The “My World” Tour, presented by AEG Live and Xbox 360 will blaze a trail through more than 35 cities, bringing the tour to 75+ cities before wrapping up December 23 in Atlanta.  (Please see complete second leg tour itinerary below.)  Additionally, $1.00 from each ticket will be donated to Pencils of Promise, a charity which works to build schools and increase educational opportunities in the developing world.  Justin’s goal is to build 15 schools around the world for needy children.  More details at www.pencilsofpromise.org.

Atlantic City, NJ (May 28, 2010) –Traveling east from Las Vegas for his only area show this summer, Barry Manilow will perform with the country’s largest pops orchestra, The New York Pops, at the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall on Saturday August 14.  “Caesars Atlantic City Presents Barry Manilow with the New York Pops” is the superstar’s first concert in 2010 outside of his current run at the Paris Théâtre at Paris Las Vegas, and provides a unique opportunity for his east coast fans to experience what has made the legendary singer/songwriter one of the most revered performers in music history.
 
“I’m excited to get to perform in Atlantic City again and to be joined by The New York Pops, there’ll be such energy, and it’s a sheer joy to reach my east coast based fans,” says Manilow.
