An awesome meal at The Palm

So, to continue with my current track of the benefits of being an innkeeper, here's another one. In Atlantic City and Ventnor we have a lot of great organizations for networking, learning and community involvement. One of these organizations is the Greater Atlantic City Concierge Association which helps people on the front line with customers keep up to date with what's going on in the city, and places to eat and other attractions. This past week we were invited to be guests of The Palm restaurant at The Quarter in the Tropicana.

This has been my second opportunity to try The Palm Restaurant and I have to say they do not disappoint. These guys are awesome! From the food to the service to warm feel of the restaurant they have it all. The first time I was there I ordered the obvious thing, there half lobster and filet mignon dinner. This is quite an experience. First the come around and tie a big bib around your neck to protect you from the lobster. This is actually unnecessary because after they bring your lobster around, the servers come back around and crack open your lobsters and claws for you and remove the meat tableside. Basically you get all the pleasure without any of the pain. Definitely a first rate operation.
This last time I decided to be different. I opted to try their Chicken Parmesan. Those sitting at my table thought I was nuts, they all got the lobster and filet again. Some people don't realize it but The Palm started out primarily as an Italian restaurant, even though today they seem to be better known for their steaks. I wanted to try something from their roots. Well this chicken Parmesan filled the entire plate -- no lie. It had to be 10-12 inches across. Delicious is the only word to describe it.
I can't close this off without mentioning how much I have enjoyed being part of the Concierge Association. This group is really phenomenal. Aside from all the great places I have had the opportunity to eat at, or the shows I have seen, this is really a great group of people. It has been a tremendous networking experience. I am really fortunate to have these groups available to me.
I have to say, I really love Atlantic City. This city is getting better and better every year and I am happy to be part of it.
