Cruise into Historic Cold Spring Village for the popular, annual Classic and Antique Auto Show. The event will be held Saturday and Sunday August 15th-16th, and cars will be on display each day from 11am-3pm. Cruise into Historic Cold Spring Village for the popular, annual Classic and Antique Auto Show. Guests can also enjoy concession from Uncle Frank’s True Pit BBQ all weekend long. “This is one of our longest-running, as well as one of our most popular events,” said Anne Salvatore, HCSV Executive Director. The buildings will be open during regular Village hours, from 10am-4:30pm, with interpreters in period clothing teaching guests about the crafts, trades and lifestyles of Early America.
Fun and educational activities for children are featured Tuesday through Friday from June 23rd to August 30th, as well as weekend events until mid-September. Historic Cold Spring Village is a non-profit, open air living history museum that portrays the daily life of a rural South Jersey community of the Early American period. It features 26 restored historic structures on a wooded 22-acre site. From late June to early September, interpreters and artisans in period clothing preserve the trades, crafts and heritage of “The Age of Homespun.”
Historic Cold Spring Village is located on Route 9, three miles north of Cape May and a mile and a half west of the southern terminus of the Garden State Parkway. Admission during the season is $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors (62 and over) and $6.00 for children ages 3 to 12. Children under 3 are admitted free and guests receive half-prices in admission on Fridays in 2009. Unlimited free admission is available with membership in the Friends of Historic Cold Spring Village. The Bakery, Ice Cream Parlor, and Country Store are open for business during Village hours. The Old Grange Restaurant, located at the Seashore Road entrance is open for lunch and dinner and can be reached at (609) 884-0114.
