Suzanne Westenhoefer Brings Bold, Hilarious Act to

Trump Taj Mahal’s Xanadu on Saturday, March 27

Atlantic City, NJ – February 25, 2010;
Comedienne Suzanne Westenhoefer will be performing in the Xanadu at Trump Taj Mahal on Saturday, March 27, 2010 as part of the Trump Comedy Series.  Show time is at 9:00 pm, doors will open one hour prior.  Ticket price is $25.50.  Tickets will go on sale Friday, February 26 at noon.

What words best describe Comedian Suzanne Westenhoefer? How about bold, bawdy, and just plain hilarious? Not afraid to ask tough questions that uncover the laughs underneath, Suzanne’s made a career out of telling the truth. And the truth is, life is funny.

After entering the world of comedy on a dare, Suzanne has been delivering gay material in mainstream clubs to straight audiences and proudly performing within the LGBT community ever since. She became the first openly lesbian comic ever to appear on television in 1991 on an episode of Sally Jesse Raphael entitled “Breaking the Lesbian Stereotype…Lesbians Who Don’t Look Like Lesbians.” She went on to become the first openly gay comic to host her own HBO Comedy Special in 1994, which earned her a Cable Ace Award nomination.

Other television appearances include The Late Show with David Letterman, GSN’s remake of the classic game show, “I’ve Got a Secret” as well as HBO, Bravo and LOGO TV specials. Now beginning her 20th year of side-splitting merriment, she continues to forge new ground while enjoying her well-earned reputation as a pioneer on the lesbian comedy scene. http://suzannew.com

Reconnecting with friends... An amazing restaurant

Category

Last weekend was a whirlwind for me.  In the mix of a bunch of stuff going on, I had the opportunity to visit with some of my very best friends whom I've know since I was in college.  Some I have not seen in many years.  One in particular, Kate, I have not seen I think in possibly 9 or 10 years.  It was hard for me to believe so many years had passed but I think it was that long.   Well, as it turns out Kate has been busy.  Her and her husband opened up an amazing restaurant in Crested Butte, Colorado.  The restaurant is called jdango's  and it's a tapas style wine bar.  It was nice talking to someone in my crowd that was also in a hospitality business.  We were able to trade a lot of stories.  Of course, me being the person I am, I had to do some research on her place this week to see what she was doing.  Well, I have to say it has made me want to fly out there just to give it a try.  They are the number one rated restaurant in Crested Butte and I believe all of Colorado (based on TripAdvisor which I swear by).  I work hard to be number 1 in Atlantic City, but I can't claim #1 in New Jersey.  Lets just say I am very impressed and very happy for my friend.  It's nice to know there are other people out there who care so deeply about their product and service.

If you find yourself in Colorado, give this place a try.
